Update on The Big Bang Theory
Sorry. This is about the TV show, The Big Bang Theory. I just flew on Air New Zealand and they showed two episodes I had not seen (we don't have TV) from Season 3. I thought The Creepy Candy Coating was one of the funniest ever. (Although it is disappointing there wasn't any real physics...) Here is one great scene.

Series 3 episode 9 has the discovery of magnetic monopoles in spin ice mentioned in the first few minutes. It's good that they go to the trouble of finding real physics to talk about because I suspect they could just put a few sciency words in place of the real science and over 99% of the audience wouldn't notice.
