But you probably mean that there needs to be more work done to actually reduce the weapons stockpiles.
I think we should focus on how to put out fire-storms, like bush-fires. If a nuke hits a city, the main two things are evacuation + putting out the resulting fire-storm, which may kill a lot more people than the initial blast.
ReplyDeleteThe Air Force brass needs a lot more scrutiny than it gets, as does their academy. I hear very disturbing stories about the culture in the US Air Force right now, which appears to have significantly diverged from the mainstream. It's worrying that they seem to be in charge of this. "Dr. Strangelove" was prophetic.
